Avalon Avant Garde Candyland Hair Show 9/18/15

My entry for Avalon's Hair Show this past Friday. My model Jessi was made into a melting ice cream cone, candy princess. I wanted to avoid the obvious, so I didn't use fake pastel hair extentions, I actually colored her previously brown hair to a rainbow assortment and bleach washed the center section. I curled her hair up and around a stack of birthday party hats to create the cone portion. I contoured her face with candy peices and aimed to keep things simple yet impressionable. I'm very pleased with the results, seeing as everything was done on the spot and barely planned previous to show time. I'm curious to see what I can accomplish if I actually plan and prep for 4 weeks like we're supposed to.

I received an honorable mention which was all I wanted. I knew the other students worked harder so they deserved to place in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Just having my name mentioned & standing up front with my wonderful friend and model was enough for me.
